A bad seed dropped by that day. Blown in by the East Wind. And faster than you could say “spit spot to bed,” the damage was done. It takes charge of your brain. Do you hear? Do you hear that sound? It sounds like Hell’s a Poppins.
Also. Seriously: Watch the skies, -CV

  1. the bottle imp redux!
i like it, though at first i was imagining him popping a pimple for her by smashing it between two VCR tapes.

  2. Continuing with my theme of “carping about the categories,” I think that this one is really more of an Engaging Theatrical. Or maybe a Vignette.
But this is literally all I have to complain about. As far as the actual content, it couldn’t have turned out any better.

  3. creepedy it was, whatever else it might also be. and fine fine creepedy at that. very nice work all around. must cleanse brain now.

  4. Ten minutes later I called Cecil to shriek at him. The horror! How dare he unleash this upon the public? I know there are laws against computer viruses (virii?). It should apply to the audio realm as well.
I can’t blame the performer’s who did a wonderful job. Tell Bill to remember us when he’s cast as Ron Livingston’s brother in Office Space II. And Heather Gottschalk is magnificent with an emotionally deep rendering of Eileen Dahl’s nasty script. There’s evil in someone’s heart here.
And now the evil has been transferred to me. I hate you.

  5. delightful play on the incessant drumming in our heads. but, a good tune can displace the evil within.
case in point, i have W’s WMD song in my head — no room for poppins.
la, la, la, osama and saddam planned it all,

“The HELL of waters! where they howl and hiss,
    And boil in endless torture.

“Close your mouth, Michael; we are not a codfish.”

la, la, la, osama and saddam are codfish

  6. Damn, that’s good. I rage against earworms regularly, and yet here I am, pleased that someone has used them against an unsuspecting audience.
Heather’s good, too. “I’m here for you” is delivered in a way that means she is and isn’t all at the same time.
